September 2008 Showcase

Once a picture has been showcased on the Complex Weaver's site, it is kept around in a previously showcased section. September's showcased picture was "A Menu of Stripes", by Heather Hubbard. Heather Hubbard, who designed and wove this sample, writes, "I have often admired the figured, striped patterns of historic textiles. Johann Michael Frickinger's Weaver's Tie-up Book from 1740, which contains some of these figured stripes, provides a wonderful menu of mix-and-match stripe possibilities.
